Tariq Lamptey Ruled Out for Brighton’s Clash Against Burnley

Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey is set to miss Brighton’s Premier League match against Burnley on April 13 due to injury.

This news adds to the mounting pressure on manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is already dealing with a significant injury crisis.

De Zerbi confirmed Lamptey’s absence stating, “The situation is tough as we have eight injured players.”   This list includes Ferguson, Webster, Lamptey, Milner, Gilmour, March, Mitoma and Hinshelwood.

This means Brighton will be fielding a similar squad to the one that fell short against Arsenal last week.

Lamptey’s injury comes as a blow to Brighton, who have relied on his pace and attacking prowess on the right flank throughout the season. Despite missing several games due to previous injuries, the 23-year-old has still managed to make 16 appearances and contribute 3 assists in the Premier League.

Brighton currently sits 10th on the league table with 43 points, but De Zerbi faces a challenge in replacing Tariq Lamptey and other injured players for the Burnley clash.

The match kicks off at 14:00 GMT on Saturday, and Lamptey’s return date remains unclear.
