Inter Milan secured an all important win against FC Porto at the San Siro. As the clock wind down Coach Simeone Inzaghi introduced Romelu Lukaku.
The striker announced his presence in fantastic fashion, after his effort had bounced off the wood work. Lukaku converted the rebound giving Inter the lead late on in the game.
With the score at 0-0 Porto had two glorious chance to take the lead but goalkeeper Andre Onana denied Zaidu Sanusi and Mehdi Taremi.
Otavio was sent off for two bookable offenses in the 78th minute. Porto held on till the 86th minute. Lukaku was not going to miss with a rebound shot after his earlier shot had come off the post.
The second leg takes place at Porto’s Estadio do Dragao on 14th March 2023.
