Stephen Appiah Set To Join Accra Hearts Of Oak.

Former Hearts Of Oak player Stephen Appiah has expressed his desire to return to the club in the capacity of a coach.

According to the former Black Stars captain, the aim is to coach the senior national team but believes there will be a need to start elsewhere in order to rise to the highest level.

In an interview with TV3’s Yaw Ofosu Larbi on Instagram, the 39-year-old is convinced Accra Hearts Oak will help him gain the needed experience in his quest to become a high profile coach.

“It’s always good to start from somewhere, I am not rushing to coach the senior national team, I have to get the experience.

“So to get the experience from somewhere, why not join Accra Hearts of Oak, I will learn under the Hearts of Oak coach.

“And If I have the chance to handle the U-17, that’s where I would start from.”

Appiah began his career at Accra Hearts Of Oak 1995 before moving abroad in 1997.
