Sports In Ghana Shall Return To Normalcy- Sports Minister Assures.

The Minister for Youth And Sports, Honorable Isaac Asiamah has assured Ghanaians that Sports in the country shall be back on it feet soon as the government continues to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Sports in the country has been halted since March due to the Pandemic with strict social distancing and mass gathering rules still in place.

Speaking at a media briefing on Wednesday morning, the Honorable Minister insisted that sporting activities including Basketball, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Football, Judo, Kick Boxing, Netball and Traditional Wrestling will not be taking place until further notice.

“There has been a nationwide fumigation in all the stadia and other sporting activities across the country. With Hod on our side, this thing shall pass peacefully, Ghana sports shall return to normalcy.” The Honorable minister added.

Meanwhile, the suspended football league season in Ghana will not resume until July 31st due to the ban on contact sports.
