Sogne Yacouba deal off

Sogne Yacouba’s proposed move to Medeama SC has hit the buffers due to an extremely unusual demands from the player.

The past couple of days have been full of speculations linking certain players to all kind of clubs, but if there’s one thing one could’ve predicted in the last 48hours, it would’ve probably been the transfer of Songe Yacouba to Medeama SC.

Medeama were aiming to add the Burkinabae to their already competent squad to provide more depth to the team in their quest to secure a memorable league triumph.

However, the Tarkwa side have decided against the signing of Yacouba after the former Kotoko player revealed his ‘insane’ demands of $100,000 a year in wages.

The deal was set to go through with a member of Medeama SC admiting that the deal was close to completion.

In an amazing turn of events, the player who was reported to have agreed personal terms with the the League leaders opted for more money contrary to what was initially agreed on.

Accpording to our sources the deal has been cancelled.

Yacouba has now lost his chance to join the finest team in the Ghana Premier league this season who are in pole position to secure the league title.
