Shocking News:Three players were imposed on CK Akonnor – Peace FM

Black Stars head coach Charles Akonnor only presented a list of 26 players to the Ghana FA for invitation for the upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers, according to Peace FM’s investigations.

According to Dan Kwaku Yeboah, Head of Sports for Despite Media Group, revealed on Peace FM that the former Wolfsburg captain only submitted the names of 26 players to the GFA.

Meanwhile 29 players were named by the Ghana FA on their website with Colchester United midfielder Kwame Opoku Afriyie hogging the headlines along with the invitation of defender Philemon Baffour.

“According to my sources C K Akonnor gave the names of 26 players to the GFA but the list that came out was 29. I’m asking how that became possible and who added the three other players,” he said on the Kokrokoo Morning show hosted by renowned broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi.

Three players namely; Kwame Opoku Afriyie, Fatawu Issahaku and Danland Ibrahim were handed call ups into the Black Stars team having won the U20 AFCON title in Mauritania.
