Samuel Inkoom Backs CK Akonnor To Succeed As Black Stars Coach.

Under 20 World Cup winner, Samuel Inkoom has thrown weights behind current Black Stars boss CK Akonnor citing he is the right man for the job.

According to Inkoom, Akonnor holds the right character and must be given the needed support from Ghanaians as the nation seek to win the Africa Cup Of Nations trophy for the first time in over 32 years.

Speaking to television network TV3, the former Asante Kotoko full-back said:

“CK has played at the highest level in terms of football. He knows what is good for footballers. I knew him when I was young watching captain the Back Stars and also playing for Wolfsburg.”

“He has that kind of character to handle the Black Stars. Is not every player who has played football can manage a team. But I think he has the character to handle the national team. I believe he will do well with his assistant coach David Duncan. What’s important is that we all support CK Akonnor.”

CK Akonnor after stints with the likes of Dreams FC, Ash Gold, and Asante Kotoko was appointed as head coach of the Black Stars at the beginning of 2020, replacing former boss James Akwesi Appiah.
