Samuel Boadu Reveals Why Hearts of Oak Fail To Win Against Berekum Chelsea

Hearts of Oak headcoach Samuel Boadu has lifted the lid on why he substituted Kofi Kodzie in the league game against Berekum Chelsea.

Hearts of Oak drew goalless with Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park on Wednesday.

Kofi Kodzie was subbed for Agyanim Boateng on the 68 minutes and that raised many eyebrows.

But the headcoach said:

‘Kofi’s Substitution has nothing to do with his performance. He was good but he had more defenders on him thus the need to change him and bring fresh limbs.’

On the part of the teams performance Boadu believes the pitch did not help his side .

‘The nature of the pitch and the game plan of the opponent forced us to make some changes to our game plan.

‘It’s difficult to put 2 or 3 passes through so we had to quickly strategize to avoid defeat.’’

The draw means Hearts of Oak are sitting fifth with 33 points whilst are eight with 30 points.
