Samuel Boadu Not To Be Blamed – Dan Quaye

Former Ghanaian international Daniel Quaye, says Hearts Of Oak’s young coach Samuel Boadu is not to be blamed for the club’s woeful impact on their African campaign recently.

Difficult for the Phobians waking from their slumber, still ongoing in the media is a section of fans and sympathizers who believes gaffer Samuel Boadu did not do things right leading to the club’s sluggish display in both the champions league and the confedrations cup.

Holding to a different opinion, the former Hearts Of Oak ace defender believes the players are to be blamed instead of the coach that he thinks, the lads, unlike last season have failed to impress this time around.

“Have you seen the problem in Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, I don’t think the coach should be blamed, the players have failed to impress this season”. He continued.

“The duty of the coach is to train and map up strategies for matches, so if the players fail to play to the rhythm of the coach, I don’t think he’ Boadu must be blamed”.

Dan Quaye was an integral member of the Hearts Of Oak squad that won the maiden edition of the Caf confederation cup when the beat arc nemesis Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the finals in 2004.
