Salis Abdul Samed shines as Lens edge past PSG in crucial Ligue 1 tie

PSG were handed their first defeat of the year away from home with Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Samed showing his immense quality as Lens recorded a 3-1 victory over the champions.

Frankowski opened the scoring for Lens after five minutes yet young forward Ekitike found the equalizer for Christopher Galtier’s men three minutes later.

Lens went on to lead before the break through Openda and found a third in the 47th minute.

Salis remained the Orchestrator in Len’s midfield completing 46 passes out of 50 and winning 100 percent of all his tackles on the night.

Moreover, he made 11 recoveries, won 5 of 13 duels against PSG and was not dribbled past on the night.

Lens fans were in jubilation after their win over the champions and Lens manager Frank Haise went on to make an emphatic statement after the game saying “we’ve rattled them”.

Lens lie in second place with four points behind Psg as Salis looks to continue his impressive form.
