Four local players have been named in Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac’s provisional squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations. 

Hearts of Oak goalie Richard Attah, Asante Kotoko captain Ismail Ganiyu, Fatawu Issahaku of Dreams FC and Philemon Baffuor have been included in a list presented to the Ghana Football Association.

All players have been regular with the senior national team but Milovan Rajevac could be making big decisions when it’s time to name his final squad.

The four players will join 36 other players that will leave Ghana for camping in the United Arab Emirates on December 22, 2021..

Coach Milovan Rajevac will then prune his squad to 28 for the Nations Cup in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2021.

The Black Stars are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after last winning the competition in 1982.

Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Gabon, Comoros Island and Morocco.
