Real Madrid stun Liverpool at Anfield

Defending Champions Real Madrid is the first team to score five goals at Anfield in Europe after  going down by two goals early on in the game.

Darwin Nunez opened the scoring with a lovely flick. Mohammed Salah doubled the lead for Liverpool 10 minutes later after cashing in on Courtois clearance.

Liverpool supporters vented their anger at Uefa as a result of being wrongly accused for the chaos in last seasons Uefa Champions League final in Paris. They held flags emblazoned with “UEFA LIARS” and subsequently jeered at the Champions League anthem.

Vinicius Jnr started the comeback after benefiting from a howler by goalkeeper Alisson Becker. The goalkeeper hacked his clearance at Vinicius Jnr and watched as the ball looped behind him into the net.

Two minutes late Elder Militao headed in Luka Modric’s free-kick. Real Madrid dominance continued. Karim Benzema added a fifth with a deflected shot after superb play by good old Luka Modric.
