Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale retires from professional football

 

Gareth Bale has announced his retirement from professional football after a memorable career over the last decade.

 

The Former Tottenham Hotspur man won Five UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid and will be remembered for his wonderful run against Barcelona in the 2014 Copa Del Rey final.

 

Bale retires as one of the greatest players in British football history if not the greatest and won 19 trophies with Real Madrid.

 

Bale featured in 664 games, scored 226 goals and finished his career as the leading player with appearances and goals for the Wales national team(111), scoring 41 goals.

 

Bale was also PFA young player of the year in the 2012/2013 season and was PFA player of the season in the 2010/2011 season.

 

He won 3 la Liga titles, 4 club World Cups and in 2022, he became champion of the US Major League Soccer.

 

So many titles and finishes in the Balon dor top ten for Bale between 2014 and 2018. He remains a football legend that will always be remembered as one of the greats of this generation.
