Real basis Madrid gave up on signing Rudiger from Chelsea

The Spanish Giant Real Madrid has given up their quest of signing Chelsea center back Antonio Rudiger due to his wage demands, Marca reports.

According to trusted sources, the success of current center-backs, David Alaba and Eder Militao this season has limited Real Madrid’s interest in signing the Chelsea center-back this January.

Real Madrid has been in the running to sign the Germany international when he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2022.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side will instead prioritize a renewal for Militao, with talks over a new five-year contract worth €8.5 million per annum set to begin in the coming weeks.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also interested in signing Rudiger but Chelsea is still keeping in touch with him to extend his contract.
