Qatar 2022: Otto Addo to release provisional Black Stars list on……

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo will release a provisional list for the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Friday, October 21.

The squad list ranges between 35 and 55 players and will include four goalkeepers.

The final list of 26 players to compete in next month’s World Cup is expected to be named on Monday, November 14.

Addo will lead Ghana to its fourth World Cup appearance and the Black Stars have been drawn in Group H with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Ghana heads to Qatar as the least ranked nation as the Black Stars are ranked 61st in the FIFA World Rankings released earlier this month.

Addo orchestrated Ghana’s surprise qualification to the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria in the final eliminator in the African qualifiers.

Preparations for the Black Stars have been fairly rocky with the Black Stars losing 0-3 to Brazil and beating minnow Nicaragua 1-0.

The black Stars of Ghana will play its last friendly match against Switzerland before embarking on their first game in Qatar.
