President Cup game will be between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko

 

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has confirmed that the decisive Premier League game between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko slated for Sunday, March 5, in Accra, will serve as the 2023 President’s Cup.

Asante Kotoko has won it  8 times, Hearts of Oak has won it 4 times, Berekum Chelsea has won 2 times and Ebusua Dwarfs are 1 time champions.

The winner of the game will be declared champion in front of Ghana President Nana Akufo Addo, according to the club’s welfare body.

If the match ends in a draw, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.

Together with other interested parties, it decided to use the crucial Premier League match to honor the Ghanaian leader.

Hearts and Kotoko officials have approved the new strategy.

Ghanaians are very keen and anticipating for the super clash on Sunday.

Together with a trophy for the winning club, the two clubs will also earn money and medals.
