Premier League clubs authorized to return to ’emergency’ Covid-19 measures

The Premier League has instructed its 20 clubs that they need to return to emergency measures after new Covid 19 rules were announced in England.

According to reports from England clubs with high vaccination ratios had softened some of the measures which were brought in at the start of the season to reduce the rate of speed of the virus.

But those restrictions need to be reinforced to help limit the spread of the new Omicron variant.

Some of the rules comprised of wearing masks in indoor areas, medical staff required to wear full PPE when in contact with players, and therapy taking no longer than 15 minutes.
