Philanthropist pledges relief package to Sunyani based players

Former Berekum Chelsea Chief Ernest Osei Boateng has revealed his intention to ease the financial burden on the Sunyani based players in the Ghana Premier League and Division 1 during this coronavirus era by offering them cash for the next three months.

The Philanthropist stated that his experience as a football administrator has made him quite cognizant of the suffering of the local-based players especially with the emergence of the novel coronavirus disease.

Therefore he has decided to offer them money ranging from 100 Ghana cedis to 300 Ghana cedis to each of the individuals for the next three months.

Speaking to Atinka FM, “We are all aware of the situation in the world now and everybody is trying to offer help and I deemed it wise after serving the people of Sunyani as a football administrator and knowing what our players go through, I’ve accepted to help the Sunyani based players with amount ranged from GHC100 to GHC300 to each player for the next 3 month.” Mr. Boating Said.

“We’ve collated the number of players we have here and am going to keep my promise starting tomorrow,” he added.
