Ghanaian footballer who plays for Turkish club Gazişehir Gaziantep has penned down an emotional message to his late grandmother as the world celebrates mothers .

Patrick Twumasi posted a picture of his late grandmother and himself when he was a child and wrote:

“Some women are exceptional and my Grandma is one of the few..after my mum gave birth and left me all alone you took me in..i never had the opportunity to even taste my mothers breast milk but you cared for me and i still wonder what you fed me as a new born baby to keep me alive till date..Aww Grandma how i wish you lived long enough to enjoy the fruit of your labour..you taught me everything i know..sent me to school so i could learn how to read and write..you taught me how to survive..how to work hard as young as i was,to make a living for myself..You fought for me wen my friends chased me away for bursting their football..you defended and protected me even when i was wrong ..you introduced God to me by sending me to your women follwership meetings..You had lots of responsibilities but the love you showed me was special..if i say i’ll talk about you ,i’ll end up crying all day in this special moment…the story about you and i is very long and i might end up writing a book…IT hurt me a lot that you’re not around to see me now..How much I’ve grown..Grandma all your prayers have come to past ..I Made it Big just as you said …Madam Comfort Eno Yaa Mansa, may You keep resting in the bosom of Christ till we meet again..Happy happy Mothers Day.🙏🏾😰😔💐☮️”
