Parliament to decide whether Black Stars should honor world cup playoffs game against Super Eagles of Nigeria or not

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has directed the committee on Youth and Sports to present its report on investigations into the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the ongoing African Cup of nations in Cameroon.

The black stars managed only one point and finished button in group C which saw them exited from the group stage, Ghana’s worst ever AFCON after 2006

Deputy speaker Joseph Osei-Owusu on Wednesday ordered for investigations by the committee. Speaking to the matter on Thursday, Mr. Bagbin asked the committee to present its report before by end of February to enable parliament to decide whether to allow the team to play Nigeria or not given the embarrassment brought to the nation by their poor showing in Cameroon.

The Black Stars are set to play the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the world cup playoff in March to decide their place in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
