President of Young Apostles, Sammy Anim Addo, says his side’s promotion to the Ghana Premier League is a result of their consistent strategy in running the club.

The Wenchi-based side secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League on Tuesday at the Acra Sports Stadium by securing a hard-fought victory over Techiman Heroes. With nerve-wracking penalty shootouts, Yound Apostles emerged victorious an equaliser from their opponents sent the game to shootouts.

However, it was Young Apostles who emerged triumphant with 4-3 win on shootouts.

“I am very proud. It’s the result of hard work, the reward for dedication, the reward for commitment and our consistent strategy,” Samuel Anim Addo said after the game

“We’ve been consistent. Our strategy has worked perfectly and we built the team from scratch and with youthful players. This is the result.”

Young Apostles now join Vision FC and Basake Holy Stars as the three teams from Division One that will be playing in Ghana’s top flight in the 2024/25 season.

Meanwhile, FC Samartex have already secured the Ghana Premier League title with two games to go.

As the top flight competition draws to a close, the newly promoted sides will be preparing massively to rub shoulders with the top brass in the league.
