FIFA have slammed an indefinite ban on MKO Stadium, Abuja where Black Stars recently drew 1-1 and eliminated Nigeria from World Cup.

The stadium is banned from hosting international matches until further notice.

The 60,000 capacity stadium begged for mercy after irate Nigeria fans caused mass destruction.

Many Nigeria fans were in high hopes of securing qualification to the 2022 World Cup
In Qatar.

But were disappointed after the blast of the final whistle when Ghana qualified on an away goal rule.

Zambian medical doctor and CAF Doping Officer, Dr Joseph Kabungo who was the doping officer in charge of the match passed away as a result of the chaos that happened at the stadium.

This is not the first time such had happened after a game between these two opponents, in 1973 the Blackstars defeated Nigeria 3-2 in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers in Lagos and it was reported that Ghana’s team bus was set ablaze.

Many were surprised with the outcome
Of how Nigerians treated the newly renovated stadium.

The Blackstars will know their World Cup group opponents on Friday when the draw is held Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
