No zone 2 team accepted the $7500 according to Proud United president

The owner of Division 1, Zone 2 side, Proud United has revealed during an interview on Sekondi-Takoradi based radio station, Kyzz FM, no team in the Division one, zone 2 league has accepted the $7,500 that was given them as part of the disbursement of the FIFA covid-19 relief fund by the Ghana Football Association.

It was reported during a meeting with the FA President, they accepted the amount given them but the owner of Proud United, Jojo Duncan has debunked that report.

“We haven’t agreed on the $7,500 that was given us out of the FIFA Covid-19 relief fund.”

Jojo Duncan said he also did some investigation among his colleagues in the zone 1 and 3 and they also said they didn’t accept the $7,500.

Jojo Duncan also added they will be taking the next step of action if the F.A doesn’t increase the amount which he believes they haven’t gotten there yet.

Lower tier clubs in Ghana, especially for the division clubs in Ghana are not satisfied with the $7,500 that was given them out of the FIFA covid-19 relief fund. The owners of the division one clubs don’t understand why the Premier league teams will be given $15,000 each whiles they will be given $7,500 each which they is a cheat looking at the gap.
