Nations FC Coach Johnson Smith optimistic of securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League

Nations FC maintain their lead in Division one- zone two intact after recording a precious 0-1 win over Basake Holy Stars at the CAM Park in match-week 25 of the ongoing season.

The game initially was to be played on Monday afternoon but got rescheduled to Tuesday morning due to a heavy downpour of rain in Anyinase.
The Blue-Blacks fought really hard to beat the Basake-based side to claim all three vital points, thanks to Amidou Diarra’s 7th minute goal.

Speaking after the game, the ex- Kotoko gaffer stated and admitted their remaining five matches to climax the season will be really tedious but hopes they will grind wins in all to qualify.

“It’s a great a win but we shift our focus on the upcoming games with immediate effect. Our next five matches have become crucial than the games we have played so far. By the grade kc God, we will overcome and win all our remaining matches.”
