Mohammed Obeng Hamza, a former assistant with Hearts of Oak and Medeama, has been named head coach of Vision FC.

Mohammed Obeng Hamza, a former assistant coach for Accra Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC, has been named the head coach of First Division team Vision FC.

For the first time in his coaching career, the 30-year-old will serve as the club’s head coach for the next two years.

From October 2017 to February 2021, when Hamza changed teams to join Ghanaian powerhouses Hearts, he served as Samuel Boadu’s assistant.

From March 1, 2021, through September 28, 2022, the highly regarded tactician accompanied Boadu to Hearts and remained his assistant.

Hamza played a significant role in leading the Phobians to their first Ghana Premier League championship in a decade.

The next year, he also assisted Hearts in keeping the FA Cup championship.

After 15 games, Vision has 21 points and is currently ranked sixth in Zone Three of the Ghana Division One League.
