‘Maybe it was too harsh’ – Milo reacts to Ayew Red Card

Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac believes the red card shown to Black Stars Skipper Andre Ayew in the defeat to Comoros was harsh.

The Senior National Football team suffered a painful 3-2 loss to lowly Comoros and eventually crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in humiliating fashion.

A key moment in the game was when captain of the side Andre Ayew was shown a red card in the 25th minute for a dangerous foul on the Comoros Goalkeeper.

The incident happened with Ghana already trailing 1 nil due to an early goal conceded.

Speaking at the post match press conference, Milovan Rajevac suggested that the referee’s decision was a tad too harsh although he admitted he needs to watch the incident again.

He also conceded that the occurrence made the game much more difficult for his side.

“It was the moment that changed the caorse of the match and made our job much more DIFFICULT,” Coach Milo told the press.

“We have to review the video again because maybe the decision was too harsh, but you know these things happen in football. What can you do,” he concluded.

Ghana has now exited the competition after recording their worse ever run at Africa’s Flagship football tournament.

In 3 games, the Black Stars lost twice and drew once picking just a point from a possible 9.
