Maxwell Konadu Describes The Role OF Emmanuel Sarkodie In The Kotoko Set Up.

Emmanuel Sarkodie

Head Coach for Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has explained what to expect from new signing Emmanuel Sarkodie, who became the club’s second signing after the capture of Kwame Opoku.

According to former Black Stars assistant coach, Sarkodie will be a perfect fit in the absence of Juctice Blay, as he becomes the second natural defensive midfielder at the club’s disposal.

“Naturally Sarkodie is a defensive midfielder and in our team it is only Blay who plays that position to perfection but, it doesn’t mean the rest are bad players,” Konadu said.

“Sarkodie will be a backup for Blay when he’s injured or suspended but that doesn’t mean Sarkodie won’t be starting games alongside Blay.

“We are in talks with other players to join us but we can’t make it public because there’s nothing concrete for now.

“We are talking to one or two players so it’s not likely we will sign more than two players in addition to Sarkodie for now,” Konadu added.

Sarkodie joined Kotoko from Nkoranza Warriors, and will be hoping to will more trophies with the porcupine warriors when football returns.
