Match Report: Medeama 2-1 Bechem United

Medeama SC kept their title chase alive by beating Bechem United 2-1 at the Akoon Community Park in match-week 30 of the Betpawa Premier League.

Coach Evans Adotey paraded a very strong line up for the game, with young goalie Felix Kyei in goal, skipper Kwesi Donsu, Vincent Atinga, inform Fatawu Hamidu all made the cut as they set sights on nothing but claiming all three points.

Haruna Dari took charge of the post on the opposition side, Hafiz Konkoni, Kwadwo Seth, young sensation Clinton Duodu, captain Kofi Agbesimah were all included.

The opening ten minutes of the game was strongly contended with both teams settling putting in a good shift.

Jonathan Sowah gave the home team the lead with a spectacular hit on the 19th minute.

The Mauves and Yellows doubled their lead on the 33rd minute mark through Vincent Atinga who fired in a header to extend their lead.

In the second half, the Hunters improved their play as they look to get themselves back in the game opening minutes but got held by the opposition backline, leading to a Hafiz Konkoni yellow card on the 55th minute.

Both teams took the game at each other, and attacked from all angles but looks like the second department wasn’t seeing goals at some point as both teams didn’t look clinical upfront.

With eight minutes to full time, Francis Acquah reduced the deficit for the visitors but wasn’t enough as it finished 2-1 after full time.
