Lyon confirm Tanguy Ndombele loan signing

Lyon have confirmed the loan signing of Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele until the end of the season.

Ndombele joined Spurs from the Ligue 1 side in 2019 but issues with form and fitness have harmed his stay in north London.

His final appearance for the club this season came during the FA Cup victory over Morecambe earlier in January, when he was booed off for his slow walk from the pitch after a mediocre performance against the League One side.

Lyon have now confirmed the deal, revealing that they have paid €1.42m for the initial loan and have an option to buy the player.

The buy option is €65m for the 25-year-old per reports, which would help Tottenham recoup the outlay they spent on him two and a half years ago.
