Legon Cities FC’s bid for Kotoko player rejected

Legon Cities loan bid for Asante Kotoko’s Ismail Abdul Ganiu has ended in failure

Legon Cities have lacked consistency throughout the season and have been in the market searching for reinforcements to resolve their issues.

The Legon club enquired about the possibility of taking the player on loan but Kumasi Asante Kotoko made their intentions of holding on to Ganui clear by rejecting further approach from the Accra based club

The defender suffered an injury during Kotoko’s 2018/2019 Caf Confederations cup and has failed to ink his name in the club’s starting line ups ever since.

Ganui was initially believed to have required surgery to correct the partial anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained but none of that was required as he recovered without the surgery

He was recently named in Asante Kotoko’s match day squad in their 1-0 win over his former employers Karela United.
