Kwadwo Asamoah has not retired from the Black Stars-Father assures

Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah’s Father has revealed his son’s willingness to represent the national team should the opportunity present itself.

After a medicore performance in the AFCON 2019 tournament the Inter Milan midfielder’s future with the national team has been shrouded in doubts.

The former Juventus man was recently snubbed when the coach of the Black Stars Charles Kwablan Akonnor announced his 23-man squad for the AFCON qualifier against Sudan.

Red flags have been raised over Asamoah’s future with many suggesting that perhaps we’ve seen the last of him.

However, the Father of the former Juventus player, Emmanuel Kwasi Asamoah has reiterated his son’s desire to return to the Black Star.

Speaking to Ashh FM; “I’m not worried about my son’s exclusion from the Black Stars that’s how the game is. Some go and others replace them because there are up and coming kids too who must be given the chance to come and play for the Black Stars.”

“When there is the chance for him to play he will come at the right time.

“Kwadwo Asamoah has not retired from the Black Stars he will come when the time is right and he is handed a call up.”
