Kotoko held by Goldstars away from home in one all draw

Kotoko were denied all three points away from home by Bibiani Gold Stars after Stephen Mukwala’s goal was cancelled out by Yahaya Andreman’s penalty rebound at Duns Park.

The game begun with the porcupine warriors and the miners going toe to toe with each other and looking to find the opener.

Frederick Asare made crucial saves to keep Seydou Zerbo’s men in the game before Stephen Mukwala broke the deadlock going into the break.

The second half saw a quick turn in the opening minutes with Goldstars handed a penalty.

The initial effort was saved by Frederick Asare yet Andreman’s follow up shot found the back of the net to restore parity for the hosts.

The hosts were awarded a second penalty but were denied a winner by Kotoko shotstopper Frederick Asare in the 70th minute.

The game went on to finish in a draw with Kotoko lying in third place with 21 points, three short of leaders Aduana who have 24 after matchday 13.
