K.P Boateng retires from football

At the age of 36, former Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng made his retirement from the game of football official.

After a fantastic career that spanned 15 clubs in Europe, most notably AC Milan and Barcelona, Boateng has retired.

Boateng declared his intention to leave the sport in a touching Instagram post in which he also expressed his intense love for the game.

I cherish you. But for me, that’s a wrap. I’d like to thank FOOTBALL for everything.

Boateng made 520 professional appearances throughout the course of his career, contributing 56 assists and 76 goals. His achievements included winning five significant titles, including the DFB Pokal and Italian Serie A.
