JUST IN – Henry Wellington appointed as interim coach by FC Samartex 1996

Following the resignation by veteran coach Kwabina Aminsah early this week, management of the 1996 club has appointed another veteran in the shape of Mr Henry Wellington as an interim head coach of the technical team with an immediate effect.

Mr Wellington, is charged to guide the team through the GFA organized division one super cup competition, which, first of it kind is going on in Accra, the nation’s capital.


Mr Henry, as a former coach of Nzema Kotoko in the division one, zone two, drove the team to a fifth place on the league log last season though report suggest he tenderd in his resignation letter following the club’s inability to have given him his monthly entilement.

He has previously have had a stay with clubs such as Accra Hearts Of Oak, Dreams FC and Kpando Hearts Of Lions.

Management of Samartex, is said to announce to the public the future directions of the club in the coming days as they prepare towards the start of the new division one season.
