I joined Ashgold because of the ban on Kotoko – Yaw Annor

New AshantiGold signee, Yaw Annor has revealed the reason behind his failed move to Asante Kotoko.

According to the miners new signee, he opted to joined Ashgold because of the one year transfer ban imposed on the club by their life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In an interview with Rockson Adjei – Yeboah on FOX FM’s Focal Sports, Yaw Annor disclosed that he could not hold on for a whole year before making a switch from his former club, Bechem United.

“I trained with Kotoko for a month and was ready to sign for the Porcupine Warriors but i signed for Ashgold because of the ban on Kotoko not to sign players for one year”.

Yaw Annor believes Ashgold is equally a ‘Big Club’, hence his move to the ‘Aboakese Club’.

The versatile winger also assured the supporters of the ‘Yellow & Black Club’ to help them immensely in the CAF Confederations Cup competition next season so as the local football competitions upon it’s resumption.

After an unsuccessful trial stint with Spanish side CF Fuenlabrada, the youngster returned back home to feature for Bechem United in the recently cancelled 2019-20 premier league.

Yaw Annor was part of the Bechem United team that lifted the 2016 MTN FA cup after defeating Okwahu United.
