Joe Hart is my mentor – Jojo Wallocott

Ghana goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott has titled former England number one Joe Hart as his role model.

Hart, 35, is now a Celtic player in the Scottish Premiership. He is best known for his 12-year spell with Manchester City, where he helped the club win two Premier League titles and one FA Cup.

“As a goalkeeper growing up in the UK I use to watch Joe Hart of Manchester City and he is my role model,” Wallocott revealed in an interview with Accra-based Happy FM

Last September, Wallocott made his Ghana debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast.

“It’s an honor to represent the national team and I’m proud to wear the jersey every time I’m called up. It’s a dream come true to play for Ghana. Sometimes I wake up and I think it’s a dream,” he said in the same interview.

He has also been nominated for Swindon Town Player of the season.
