Ismail Abdul Ganui determined to regain his starting berth

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Ismail Ganui is determined to regain his starting spot in Maxwell Konadu’s setup after returning from injury.

Ganui was injured in a training session at the Adako Jaachie during Kotoko’s preparation towards the African competition.

The Centre-back made his first appearnce from injury against a lower division side in January 2020.

Ganui had hoped to feature more consistently for the Porcupine Warriors after his return from injury but the season was brought to halt before he could get his wish.

”As a defender, it is difficult to come back from injury and compete with players who are at their peak. But that pushes me up every day and reminds me that; hey you can’t sleep,” he said in an interview with Asante Kotoko Express App.
