Inaki Williams Inspires Athletic Club to Draw with Osasuna

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams played a key role in Athletic Club’s dramatic 2-2 comeback draw against Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday.

The 29-year-old striker netted a goal in the 58th minute, helping his team fight back from a two-goal deficit.

Osasuna took control early with Raúl García scoring twice in quick succession, in the 39th and 47th minutes. However, Athletic Club refused to give up. Williams’ goal ignited a comeback, and Asier Villalibre secured a vital point with a last-minute equalizer in the 96th minute.

Inaki Williams impressed throughout the match, playing the full 90 minutes and earning a strong rating of 7.8 for his performance according to Sofascore. This goal adds to his impressive tally of 13 goals and 5 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for Athletic Club this season.

The draw keeps Athletic Club in fifth place in the La Liga table with 62 points after 35 matches. They will be aiming to secure a Champions League spot in the remaining matches of the season, with their next league fixture coming against Celta Vigo on May 15.
