In-coming Ghana coach Hughton set to meet family of England youngster Tariq Lamptey over nationality swituch

Incoming Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, has begun working before his appointment.

Chris Hughton will be meeting with the family of English born defender Tarig Lamptey.

The Ghana Black Stars needs massive rebuilding. Tariq Lamptey has been one of the long-term targets of the Ghana Football Association among other Ghanaian players born in Europe. He is a fine defender who can also surge forward.

Hughton met the father of Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi on Sunday in Accra. Reports of a fruitful discussion between the two ahead of possible nationality switch.

Ghana is struggling to get a better replacement for the right-back position. The yet to be appointed coach, judging by his approach, may do something for the Black Stars.
