I’m proud to wear the Black stars jersey  – Jojo Wallocott

Ghana goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott has expressed his excitement to wear the Black stars jersey to represent the country on international stage.

Wallocott earned his debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast last September.

So far, the 25-year-old has appeared in nine games, three of which were at the 2021 Africa Cup and two of which were in the World Cup playoffs victory over Nigeria.

“It’s an honour to represent the national team and I’m proud to wear the jersey every time I’m called up. It’s a dream come true to play for Ghana. Sometimes I wake up and I think it’s a dream,” he told Happy FM.
