Hon. Benjamin Kessie ready to grant scholarship to sports persons

The Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa Hon. Benjamin Kessie has said he is willing to give scholarship to sport men and women who applies for it during an interview with Alex Adu on Sekondi-Takoradi based radio station Twincity FM.

The former Medeama SC administrator said this when he was asked about granting scholarships to sports men and women who wants to further their education but don’t have the means.

He said the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has decentralized the scholarship giving the mandate to every district to interview it’s applicants and giving them scholarships.

“His Excellency the President has now decentralized scholarships. If you are a DCE or MCE, you are part of the committee which conducts the interviews so if a sports person comes to me who has sports at heart for a scholarship, I will gladly give it to him or her.” – Benjamin Kessie said
