Hearts of Oak terminates contract of two midfielders

Accra Hearts of Oak have terminated the contract of midfielders Charles McCarthy and Emmannuel Mintah after coming to a mutual understanding with the two individuals.

The duo were unable cease their moments with the limited time they had on the pitch after displaying such sporadic performances and injuries which has triggered their release.

Edward Odoom who is the Head coach of the club revealed in a board of directors meeting in Accra on Thursday that the midfield duo are no longer part of his plans going forward.

McCarthy joined the capital based club on a free transfer after he was released by Elmina Sharks .

Mintah also joined the Ghana Premier league giant from Karela United on a free transfer after his impressive performances in the Special Competition.

The pair will now seek to rebuild their career after failing to deliver for Hearts.
