I handed In A Transfer Request – Bernard Arthur Explains Why He Wont Play For Hearts OF Oak.

Accra Hearts of Oak forward Bernard Arthur has finally let the cat out of the bag as he explains why he is no more interested in playing for the Accra based club.

It has been Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi up front for head coach Nii Odoom in most games this season for the Phobians, which Arthur sees as a huge disrespect.

“It isn’t Hearts of Oak that want to transfer me,I handed in the request”, Arthur revealed in an exclusive interview with Kumasi FM.

“I feel I need to leave Hearts of Oak and have enough playing time elsewhere because I can’t be playing 10-15 minutes,I think it’s a disrespect”.

“I’m a whole brand of myself who people look up to in the coastal areas and Dansoman.
People keep asking why I’m on the bench but let me emphasize that being on the Hearts bench has nothing to do with performance.

No matter who you are as a player, you will be rusty if you are always on the bench”.

He also revealed that his arrival at the club was hugely influenced by ex-coach Kim Grant who was sacked after two games in the Ghana Premier League.

“I’m a player who likes challenges,I came to Hearts of Oak because of Kim Grant. Everything backslided when he left and it turned into frustrations”.

“It’s 80% done that I’m going to Olympics.I will help them escape relegation,it is something I have done before and I’m confident in achieving that goal”.

Before joining Accra Hearts Of Oak, Arthur, nicknamed Manucho, had played for Liberty Professionals till the end of the 2016/2017 season.
