Haaland hatrick secures City victory over Wolves

Manchester City edged over Wolves in a 3-0 victory with Erling Haaland at the core after scoring his fourth Premier league hatrick of the season.

The Norwegian surpasses last season’s top scorers Salah and Son’s goal tally of 23 goals as he now stands with 25 goals in just 19 appearances.

City came close to breaking the deadlock after 23 minutes when Jack Grealish’s right footed shot from within the six yard box was skied way over the goal.

However, before the break, the Norwegian found the back of the net after a wonderful cross from Kevin De Bryne to put City in front on the day.

Five minutes after the break, Haaland converted from 12 yards after a penalty call for a foul on Gundowan in the box with Pep’s men cruising to victory.

Haaland grabbed his hatrick in the space of 14 minutes in the 54th minute and he eyes the golden boot award in his first season with Manchester City.

City are now two points behind League leaders Arsenal who take on Manchester United later today with two games in hand.

Wolves however stay just a place off the relegation zone in 17th place with 17 points.
