Green Buffaloes Women’s lifted their first ever COSAFA Women’s Champions League trophy

Green Buffaloes Women’s football Club have lifted their first ever COSAFA Women’s Champions League trophy after edging out Mamelodi Sundowns 6-5 on penalties at the Sugar Ray Stadium in Durban South Africa.

Green Buffaloes will represent COSAFA in the next edition of the CAF women’s champions league tournament later this year in Morocco.

The defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns and last season’s finalist, Hasaacas Ladies from Ghana will be missing out in the second edition.

Green Buffaloes goalkeeper Aisha Mbwana won the Golden Glove Award and lreen Lungu walked away with the Golden Boot for her five goals scored during the Tournament.
