GPL WEEK 7: Abraham Wayo Sinks Legon Cities As Liberty Cruise To Victory.

Ghana Premier League Clubs returned to match days after a short Christmas break when Liberty Professionals engaged struggling Legon Cities in week seven.

The first half did not see a lot of chances created by both sides as it ended goalless despite the home side seeing the majority of the ball in terms of possession.

Abraham Wayo gave Liberty the lead with just 10 minutes to full time converting beautifully from the penalty spot after Godfred Atuahene got fouled in the box.

Wayo’s goal turned to be the winner for the home side as Legon Cities continue to search for their first win in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

Legon Cities are still among the button three on the league log despite the change in managers and the signing of former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan.
