GPL WEEK 5:Asante Kotoko Beat Legon Cities To Win First Game Of The Season.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed to beat Legon Cities by a goal to nil at the Accra Sports Sports Stadium in week five of the Ghana Premier League, their first win since the league commenced.

Striker Osman Ibrahim scored very early in the game (10th minute) for Asante Kotoko in what happened to be the only goal the game produced, assisted by Godfred Asiamah.

Midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh sustainable an injury in the 46th minute and was replaced by Mubarik Yusif.

Former Asante Kotoko coach Bashiru Hayford who was playing his first game in charge of Legon Cities threw more men upfront in the second half but failed to grab the equalizer. One-nil the game ended.

For Kotoko, the win will serve as a morale booster when they travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC in Week six of the Ghana Premier League.
