GPL Matchday 26: Asante Kotoko shockingly records 2nd consecutive defeat of the season

Asante Kotoko recorded their second consecutive defeat of the season in a shocking 3:1 defeat to Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Otu game the visitors the lead in the 15th minute from the spot as Jonah Attuquaye was brought down by Christopher Nettey.
Evergreen finisher Hans Kwoffie quickly doubled the lead for the royals to deepens the woes of the porcupines in the 28th minute.

Mudasiru Salifu pulled one back in the 42nd minute nodding home from Imoro’s corner kick. The first department of the game ended in a 2:1 lead for the visitors.

Hans Kwoffie restored Legon Cities 2goal lead with just three minutes into the second half.
All efforts by Coach Prosper Ogum to level things up proved futile.

This result means Asante Kotoko have lost their 2nd consecutive game following their 2:1 defeat to Real Tamale United in Tamale last week.
