Mr Enerst Thompson Quartey, formerly of Cape Coast mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs has officially being announced by Obuasi Ashanti Gold as the new head coach for the club in the upcoming 2021/2022 season.
The Caf license A coach Mr Thompson replaces country man Thomas Duah who served as an interim manger for the miners since may 2021 till the end of the season where he lead the club to a 9th place finish on the league log.
Thompson is expected to take charge of the club as soon as possible to begin preseason training once he has signed a two year deal with Dr Kweku Frimpong and his club Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
Ashanti Gold, after parting ways with four other coaches in the immediate past season thus Roberto Landi, Milovan Cirkovic, Romain Folz and Sarfo Castro aside Thomas Duah were in the finals of the MTN FA Cup 2021 whiles they lost on penalties to famous Hearts Of Oak.
