Government Gives Ghanaian Football Clubs Greenlight To Train

Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi has disclosed that the state has eased restrictions on contact sports so all Football clubs can commence training.

Football in Ghana has been at a halt following directives from Government to place restrictions on social gatherings.

This decision led to the cancellation of the 2019-2020 Ghanain Football Season by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.

National Sports Authority boss, Professor Peter Twumasi had revealed that the President has relaxed the restrictions a bit and Football clubs can now train.

“Currently the president has relax a bit of the restrictions to allow our elite athletes including those from football, athletics, boxing to be able to train.” Prof. Peter Twumasi told Accra-based Atinka FM.

He explained further: “Not competitive sports but to be able to train within our sporting facilities, but it has been a challenge to many of them.”
